It was a tough decision. One that gas prices and the health of my in-laws has initiated. It is one that makes me sad because I love where I am at but at the same time, making me glad because I am looking forward to meeting new challenges head-on. Monday night, it became official, I was hired by Skiatook Public Schools to teach 6th grade science and western geography. I will be leaving Keystone Schools and my heart hurts as I leave behind some of the very best students in the nation and some very, very good solid friends. Keystone is the first and only school I have taught at and I will always be thankful to all of those involved with my hiring. Our motto at Keystone is "ONCE A RANGER, ALWAYS A RANGER", that will always live in my heart.
I will no longer be a Ranger (except at heart), I will be Bulldog.  I will no longer wear blue and white but red and black.  I will also be teaching in the same system as my husband is the athletic director.  I will no longer have classrooms with no more than 18 students and sometimes as few as 13, I will have a classroom with wall to wall students.  I hope to be as lucky as I was at Keystone and make some very, very good solid friends.  I hope that I enjoy my Skiatook students as much as I enjoyed my Keystone students.  I AM GOING IN WITH AN OPEN MIND AND DETERMINATION TO MAKE THIS MOVE SUCCESSFUL!
