What? Why do you need eggs?

While on vacation, my in-laws gathered the eggs from our five hens. They gathered over five dozen eggs. They gave four dozen to the Baptist mission, which I was very pleased with but, they gave over a dozen to a family member that never gives anything to anybody, that I was not pleased with. So any way, last night, while I was lounging on the couch after a hard day of mowing and yard work, my mother-in-law knocks on the side of the house for us to come out--she won't come up the steps without help because we don't have rails on them. I went to see what she needed and guess what.......................................................................she needed eggs. WHAT? Why would she need eggs, the hens had been very dutiful while we were gone. I guess she should have saved the dozen or more that she gave away to that family member. Grrrr. Now, don't get me wrong, I don't mind sharing the eggs but I do not want them going to people that never give in return...sorry, call me selfish if you must but that is how I feel and will always feel. Any way, I went ahead and gave her half a dozen eggs. *sigh*
